NEW FIRST TIME PLAYERS ~ Pre-Registration Requirements

1. Please follow the instructions here for brand new, first time players. 

2. If you already have a child participating in minor hockey for who you’ve completed the Respect in Sport Parent course, you simply have to login to your Respect in Sport – Parent Program and add the new player.  Enter your login credentials (username and password) and click Login.  Click on Profile, Click on Child Management and in Child  Management,  you select ADD CHILD.  Be sure to select Devon Minor Hockey as your minor hockey association.  This step will create a new Hockey Canada ID for your new player.

WHO IS THE PROGRAM FOR?

  • Brand new skaters, wearing full hockey equipment; learning to skate and incorporating limited hockey skills throughout the season.
  • Players in this program need to be 4-years old as of December 31 of that year, or older.
  • Older athletes may also register if they are brand new to skating and hockey.
  • Please note that NO games or tournaments will be scheduled for this program.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

  • Teaches basic movement and skating skills through development drills.
  • Non-competitive fun activities are also incorporated to further develop the skills that were learned.
  • Players receive jerseys.
  • Group formation of approximately 15 players
  • Skill development sessions will occur on the weekends, once per week, with each session being 60-minutes in length.
  • This session may occur on shared ice surfaces with our other U7 program.
